Both our Raroan teams: Tom Lewis, Karina O'Connor, Mady Haley and Ilira Sakai-Edwards in Team B and Alex Lewis, Sophie Thomson, Taylor Ramsbottom and Rion Anderson in Team A competed really well. Both teams won a round - Team A knew their body parts (like which mythological creature regrew a head each time it was chopped off) and Team B were experts at babies.
Both teams placed in the top 10, which is amazing as there were 49 teams competing overall. Team B were 5th, only 6 points shy of the eventual winners Samuel Marsden and Team A were 9th not far behind. It never ceases to make me proud to see how well our students do at these "Olympics of Reading", and I love soaking up the energy that is created from all that book and reading enthusiasm.
