Sally Gardner
Multi award-winning British children’s author and illustrator Sally Gardner’s books, including Maggot Moon, Tinder and I, Coriander, have been translated into more than 22 languages. Deemed unteachable at school, and later diagnosed with dyslexia, Sally started in costume design and illustration before deciding to write for children full time. Young adult writer Anna Mackenzie will talk with her about alternate histories, time travel, magic and collecting words.
Cornelia Funke
Cornelia Funke’s magical narratives have delighted children of all ages for more than 20 years, particularly now The Thief Lord,Inkheart and the Ghosthunters series are movies. Author of more than 50 books, including a series for children with dyslexia, Cornelia has recently founded her own publishing house, for her current Mirrorworld series. She is in conversation with writer and theatre-maker Jo Randerson.
